Hopefully I will get to migrating all the old work into this blog, but it will take time and in the meanwhile I don't want to skip any of the new stuff.

First the basics. I have gardened in several locations in the US and elsewhere and have recently moved to Georgia. My new yard sits on an acre of denuded red clay on a northern slope of a hill. The developer had installed a few Indian hawthorns, boxwoods, gardenias and a Crepe myrtle, all of which I am sure were chosen by price at home depot rather by any plan. Pretty much a blank slate.
